Greetings All:
The USPS has announced a Holiday rate increase to help them cover recent increased costs for Oct. 18th - Dec. 27th. Are Ebay shipping rates going up to reflect the increase? Thanks.

The eBay shipping calculator always updates immediately when new USPS rates go into effect. There's no reason to expect that this change will be handled differently.

It's USPS's increase, and eBay will reflect those changes.

I heard it was only for high volume shippers ( IE Amazon wal mart etc). Will ebay individual sellers be considered High Volume shippers?
If so will shipping off ebay solve the problem? Meaning using a service like stamps com or pirateship since they are not ebay identified?

The rate that is going up is the basic USPS Commercial rates. That's what we pay on eBay and that's what most (if not all) other online sellers charge for their domestic labels.

Pirateship is the way I found out, so using them will not avoid the increase. They would consider Ebay as sum of it sellers and therefore a high volume user of their service most likely.

The USPS announcement doesn't mention "high volume" shippers. It says that online rates will increase.
