I ordered an expensive package (300) and it has been 5 days already and I contacted the seller he said he already made the shipping label and already shipped it the first day and the USPS has it and they probably got it stuck on their side..? What does that mean that usps awaiting item that the seller did not ship it? Its already shipped I think they had some scanning issues..Never had an issue like this ordered 100's of things
If you have an opinion how to fix it please tell I will contact USPS also
Thanks

you shoud stop looking at tracking....................its very common what you are seeing
buyers detest being asked about it...its a scanning issue for sure
the issue is that buyers keep asking about scans that are being skipped on purpose

When you ask a question here, you really need to give all the relevant details.
The most important information at this point would be the last estimated delivery date.
Has that date passed by more than a few days? If so, you can open an item not received case.
If that date is still in the future, it's not easy to understand your issue.
Tracking protects the seller, not the buyer.
All eBay buyers have the Money Back Guarantee if/when a transaction goes wrong.
Hard to understand why you have used the word "scamming".

There is a very good commercial on Canadian Television for a major *supplemental* health insurance carrier, and the commercial parodies a weather announcer with a green screen describing the weather as being sunny and dry, yet the green screen is showing a torrential rainstorm. The announcer of the news suggests that the weather person get a new prescription or get an eye checkup due to the misinterpretation of what the images were showing as part of the made-up 'news broadcast'.
I think @soh.maryl may need to review the original description of the question, where the author wrote 'scanning'; the action that the package carrier does during pickup, and carries through the system, rather than 'scamming'; the action of trying to misrepresent something.
For the Original Poster (OP):
What *may* have happened, is the package was accepted into the USPS 'system', but the barcode info did not get transmitted to the host system, (ie the picking up scanner was broken/deleted).
Yet, the package will get handled, and shipped to the destination, after a wait, due to processing delays because of the need for the package to be handled *manually*, instead of automatically.
*supplemental* health insurance, is a user voluntary payment for additional insurance beyond the "basic coverage" provided by universal access healthcare. This may include things such as semi-private rooms in a hospital, or Prescription medications not covered by Provincial(State) healthcare plans. In the Commercial it covered prescription eyewear(non-designer frames), and annual eye checkup, as compared to most provincial plans only cover one visit/exam per 2 years if you are under 65.

USPS service at times in terms of tracking updates showing scans has been touch and go since late last year. Some packages show accurate and timely scans, some do not. It is a reflection of their current problems and why I do not use them now for any of my shipping here. You can start a package trace on USPS.COM called where is my package and they may be able to get the shipment unstuck and recorded and on it’s way faster.

You are right -- I misread the original message; and, FYI, I do know the difference.
I stand by the rest of my reply, however. We were not told the last estimated date of the delivery, so it is difficult to determine whether or not the package is late, lost or anything else.
