ALERT!! ALERT!!
I'm having a serious issue with using UPS Ground Saver. At least 5 of my packages have NOT been scanned at the USPS when they were dropped off. My shipping label shows they have NOT been picked up by UPS. Anyone else having this issues? I have one package taking 2 WEEKS to see the tracking and its still still "in transit" and wont be delivered for another week?? This is a huge issue for me and for my customers. I cant afford to refund on items that are in "limbo"!!
I will NO LONGER be using UPS... and no, I don't usually wait for all my packages to be scanned cause there has never been an issue. Seems I need to start getting a receipt for ALL PACKAGES being dropped off. UGH!

What happens when you check tracking directly on the UPS site?
If the packages are still with UPS and not being transferred to USPS then they have insurance coverage up to $100. Once UPS passes them to USPS that insurance coverage evaporates.

I am having the same problem. Suddenly they are not scanning any of my packages. How can I/we prove I sent it without tracking? I understand this time of year they are busy but this is exactly the time we need the tracking! I am thinking I might have to start sending messages to buyers that their package was picked up by the USPS but they haven't scanned it in and they can't track it until they scan it. I get all my packages in the mail same or next day at the latest. Still some packages take up to 10 days to arrive! I can't imagine how long this will take without tracking. WTH good is tracking if we can't use it? The more our Post Master General "improves" the system, the worse and more expensive it gets. When will they get rid of him?

Are you referring to dropping off for shipment, or on the transfer from UPS to the Post Office for final-mile delivery.....
You know you should not be dropping off UPS Ground Saver at the Post Office....(not saying that is what you are doing)
UPS must receive all UPS Ground Saver shipments: UPS Ground Saver packages can only be dropped off/picked up with UPS and must not be dropped off with USPS despite the USPS barcode on the label

It's the only foolproof method of getting accurate scans into the system.
But why would you drop off a UPS package at a USPS facility to be scanned in the first place?

A few months ago, USPS announced they are no longer accepting UPS Ground Saver packages. They said any that are left with them will be discarded. Even though it has a USPS label on it since they can deliver the last mile, it's primarily a UPS service and must be given to UPS. Sorry, and no, they aren't going to pay out insurance claims. Why they would discard them rather than let them sit for UPS to pick them up when they're delivering some anyway, I have no idea. Guess they just got tired of it and don't care about your stuff.
