Trouble with Intelcom Shipping & Deliveries

I have a problem with item I shipped On Dec 6th to Canada. It passed Canada customs in a week but then was picked up by a 3rd party delivery company Intelcom. Now, it has been held by them for 1 month, waiting for another company/service to pick it up for delivery to the recipient.

Customer is emailing me to find out what is going on but I can't really do anything from the US since it has already entered Canada. I don't what else to do other than to tell him to wait. I have shipped stuff to Canada before and normally, Canadian Post is supposed to pick it and handle it. I have never heard of Intelcom before though. Has anyone contacted before to do investigations on packages?

Re: Trouble with Intelcom Shipping & Deliveries

This was a package sent through the gsp?  Intelecom delivers Amazon packages and I've never had a problem with them. But there are reports on the .ca boards about problems with Intelecom delivering GSP packages.  I don't know why they would be waiting for someone else to pick up the package as they normally do deliver the packages  to the front door but  perhaps they don't deliver to that town or city??

I would suggest that the buyer contact them and see if they can find out what the problem is.  If that doesn't help they should file an item not received claim as the gsp would be the one who would have to refund. They don't want to miss the deadline for filing an inr.

Re: Trouble with Intelcom Shipping & Deliveries

Has anyone from EBay offered to help in this situation? I’m on the west coast of Canada and just had my first, and hopefully last, experience with Intelcom Express. A seller shipped me a package from NY but it never arrived. Intelcom’s email updates and tracking page referred to multiple delivery attempts which I can confirm never took place. They’re online chat option doesn’t work and their customer service phone line merely put me on hold until eventually disconnecting. Emailing them only resulted in an automated response. I was unable to make contact with them at all and they never contacted me even with the supposed multiple delivery attempts. They have a particularly bad track record up here according to some friends of mine whom dealt with them and a search of posts on Facebook ( it was one of the only places I could find any legitimate info about them.) It would seem that as long as EBay refunds buyers Intelcom is not motivated to follow through on its deliveries. I believe they are contracted out by a firm called PBR, though I can’t be sure at this point. I would hope that eBay discontinues using them because as long as they are a carrier option I have little faith in buying from eBay now. I sincerely wish you good luck and hope that EBay will step up and help you and your customer.
