After more than 15 years and a thousand purchases I bought an item from a USA seller shipped from Germany that shows up as delivered even though I havent got it. Already spoke with the mailman responsible for my area and he told me the shipper should open a claim. Contacted Ebay and the only option they gave me was to open an police report withing 10 days but I am out of the country till mid August. I explained that I AM NOT ASKIG FOR REFUND but the message from CS is always the same. I just asked CS to contact the seller beause he has the shippping details needed to file the claim. Any suggestions?

#1- I WAS IN TOWN back when it was supposed to be delivered
#2- Asking for the seller to file the claim since I dont have all the shipper´s info to do so online
#3-regarding *** ASKIG [sic]*** maybe I am the only with normal sized hands that goofy types on that tiny keyboard

Did the mail carrier give you any indication of whether he remembered delivering the package? Or what might have happened to it?
If he confirms that he delivered it to the proper address and it is now missing you have no claim with eBay or the USPS. When the package is stolen after delivery it is the recipient's problem.
If the carrier admits it wasn't delivered correctly or doesn't remember, it's possible his supervisor or postmaster may be able to pull up GPS data to show where it was actually scanned as delivered.

Thanks for your response. Guess I don't really have anything else of value to add. Good luck.

Chances are if the package was marked as delivered your claim will be denied.
The buyer would have to sign an affidavit saying even though it shows delivered they didn’t receive it. Of course this is for insurance claims. The buyer likely can’t do this since they aren’t home.:.but I’m thinking they are just trying to file a lost package report to hopefully find it ?

If CS is asking for a police report, then it's possible that they will give a courtesy refund, meaning from eBay, not the seller.

Ask your post office to do a GPS to verify package delivery location.
Package may have been
misdelivered.
