Tracking not being updated - How to contact USPS?

Created shipping label and dropped the package off on the 26th. It has been 2 days but the tracking still says "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item". Should I still wait or contact them? If contacting, how do I talk to a human since I keep getting the automessage loop/ends. No luck finding how to contact one online. Frustrated.

Visit your local PO and ask for a tracking report available from their internal system. I think humans still staff the retail counter.

Or just view the USPS T&C screen and request e-mailed status updates, current and future. Doing so generates an exception report that usually results in a human looking into the whereabouts of a package.

If you're looking at eBAy tracking, you're lucky it shows anything at all. Always use the shippers tracking. I wouldn't worry about it myself. If the shipper shows nothing, then worry. If still nothing, add yourself to tracking email updates on the site. That seem to magically gets thing found.

If it makes you feel better, I opened a missing mail report (USPS) about 3 months ago, I just got another email update today (We can't find your mail, we'll keep looking). It was delivered well over 2.75 months ago. There is no way to stop the "search". Stuff falls "off the belt" all the time. I think they clean once a week and find it.

Checking the USPS would be the next thing I would do after checking Ebay. Hoping it will get found soon or else I will have to do a refund 😞

That really sucks. Did you have to refund the buyer or did you file a case to USPS to pay for your missing item?

"Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item"  I just had that very same thing on a first class package for three days..on the fourth day,it updated at USPS, 'out for delivery'and today,'delivered in mailbox'...so try not to worry too much and give it a few days.

It was my Taxes!  

Arrived late but postmarked OK.  🙂 (arrived a week late! SENT a week early! (PRIORITY!))
