As we have many new sellers here, let’s talk about shipping and holiday weekends.
Here’s what you need to know about the 4th of July 2025 weekend:
Friday, July 4th, is a postal holiday as we observe Independence Day.
If you ship with 1 business day handling:
Sales made today, Thursday July 3rd through Sunday July 6 do not need to be shipped until Monday, July 7.
However some sellers will ship on Saturday July 5. So a quick note on Saturday shipping:
Our local post office offers Saturday service, so I personally ship on Saturday when possible.
However, you are NOT required to ship on Saturday, as Saturday is not a business day to eBay. Monday-Friday are business days.
Any questions? Feel free to ask below!
Best wishes with your selling and shipping!

Thanks...good reminder. Understanding how and when to ship is just as important as making the sale. We all need to be experts in s/h

In addition to all of the above information, there is also the CYA aspect.
Many buyers who are not also sellers (especially international buyers) completely overlook the postal holiday. In the past I have had buyers complain that it took "too long" to ship their package over a holiday weekend.
So, under the aforementioned CYA, I plan on shipping on Saturday just to avoid more similar nasty notes on Monday or Tuesday (and the time wasted answering their complaints with the "Friday was a holiday explanation").
