I received this message from a buyer today. My instinct is to accept the return but make the buyer pay for return shipping. Normally I would just pay for return shipping BUT it's the last line about the feedback. What would you do?
"The color of the nail polish is not the same as the photo. The color I received is horrible and I want to return it for a full refund. I also shouldn't have to pay for shipping. Please advise on what to do next. I don't want to leave poor feedback."

@thebeautygal what's the item? or item number? (12 digit number). I see you do spell out what the 'color name' and number is, so there should not be any surprise to a customer

I just had someone passive aggressive threaten not positive feedback unless I gave them a partial refund. I have had others do the same with items they just didn't like. sadly the best thing to do is refund them in a situation like you have due to the item no longer being new

I don't run into this situation because I offer free returns.
If they bring attention to ANY issue my response is the same to all customers.
I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with your purchase. Please feel free to open a return request, and we will process it as quickly as possible. You'll receive a free shipping label, and once the item is returned to us, we’ll issue your refund within 2 business days.
If you need assistance with opening a return, you can refer to this helpful eBay article: How to Return an Item for a Refund.
Then if I feel they are abusive I add to my BBL.
If they used the item, its in different condition, then I deduct up to 50% from the refund for loss value.
But you give up so many of your protections being a 'No returns' seller.

Just playing devil's advocate.
I've purchased nail polish and once I got it home and used it, the color looked different than it did in the bottle. (I've also found this to be the case with lipstick and blush.)

Yes... the color of an item in a listing photo is often different when viewed in a different light or under different lighting conditions.
The only return I ever got was from a customer who bought some porcelain bowls but wanted to return them because they were a slightly different shade of blue from those she had at home.
There was also the possibility that the bowls I sold her were manufactured later than the bowls she owned, and that the color of the paints used was slightly different.
