Anyone else dealing with this situation?
A buyer contacts you asking where their item is so you check the tracking number and you find nothing except a shipping label was created and the post office awaits the item. The item that the USPS picked up only to never be seen again and without an initial scan. Making the seller (me) look like lier when I assure them that it had shipped.
USPS has been horrible since November but they are getting better as the months go by. I am still having issues on a weekly basis where items are not scanned and then just disappear, even when I watch them scan each box when they pick them up. Even though the USPS acknowledges that missing scans have been on the rise they say they can't do anything for you because..... wait for it..... There are no tracking details to say one way or the other. So you just have to eat the cost of the shipping label, the item itself, the buyer's payment, eBay fees, and the original cost of the item... it adds up quick. The USPS is costing me a lot of money.
Just curious if anyone else is going through this and how your luck has been with the outcome.
