Hello,
I purchased this item on August 18th.
It is PS1 Tours also Spyro X Sparks tons Sony Sony PlayStation 1 Japan Import.
It is from Tokyo, Japan.
I paid $56.65 for it.
And it says it is being shipped using usps and it also says Due to US policies, import fees for this item will need to be paid to customs or the shipping carrier on delivery.
You can find out more information about tariff
rates based on the item description from the
Harmonized Tariff Schedule. Additional duty
rates may apply based on the item's type and
"Country/Region of Manufacture" (country of
origin), which may be found in the item
description.
Multiply the tariff percentage by your total
order amount shown at checkout.
Shipping providers (e.g., UPS) or US Customs
will charge processing fees ranging from
$10-$30.
It's being shipped using usps.

We are in a new world right now where nobody knows the answer. I can assure NO company is going to swallow the fees charged by the US for delivery. Everybody is looking for guidance from the US as to how to proceed.

Nobody really can give you answers or even knows. Welcome to Trumps U.S.

Are these places going to be able to handle something like this?...to pick up items at locations...
Delivery people only can handle deliveries I would assume.
No to mention Amazon...
No. For packages that reach US CBP (customs office) on or after Aug 29, 2025, the duty/tariff has to be prepaid when it gets there. Shipping carriers are collecting it from the senders when they buy the shipping label. So USPS, FedEx, UPS etc. will not be collecting from buyers before delivery any more.
Not sure where you got your information.
From Executive Order 14324 SUSPENDING DUTY-FREE DE MINIMIS TREATMENT FOR ALL COUNTRIES.
"Sec. 3 (a) Transportation carriers delivering shipments to the United States through the international postal network, or other parties if qualified in lieu of such transportation carriers, must collect and remit duties to CBP ..."
International postal carriers are implementing processes that require the duty/tariff to be prepaid to the US CBP. Royal Mail UK and Canada Post made such processes available as of today, Aug 29, 2025. The senders have to pay for the duty when they purchase the label, or show proof that they have already done so.
Other shipping carriers, such as DHL in Europe I believe, have also announced that going forward, the duty/tariff will have to be prepaid to meet this new requirement.

Well yeah... but remember they jumped the gun already. What we see now is basically a second attempt. We couldnt handle doing it on our own.... so we passed the responsibility on to everyone else.
So now US customs wont be swamped cause nothing is coming in.

Seriously, not the best advice if taken literally by the OP.
He has paid money for an item that he evidently wanted. It would only be reasonable for him to want his money back, right?
