Specific listing not showing up for global shipping program

Hello everyone, I wanted to seek out help as just recently I have come across a problem that I am unable to solve. My entire ebay store shows up on the global shipping program to international buyers. Just recently though a specific listing that I sell under energy drink category stopped showing up for international buyers. The biggest and weirdest issue is that Ive sold this exact same product to the same individual just a week ago and he has now requested more, but states that ebay wont allow him to purchase the item. Adding to this claim I have gotten several messages from several buyers stating the exact same thing. All of these buyers are located in the UK. Some of the error messages they get are "ask seller for parcel quote" or "seller does not ship to this country" both which are wrong considering that when I list the item it states that my item will be in the global shipping category.  Please give me any ideas on how to fix

I'm not sure what to suggest. I did check other similar listings and quite a few of them are shipping USPS international rather than through eBay international shipping (EIS).  But I did find some that were using EIS as well.

Have you made sure all other international options have been removed from the listing?

Did you check any exclusions that may be set for that listing?

What is the Item Number?

Could be that customs refused/returned it once before and now EIS is NOT allowing 'liquids', or THAT liquid, to be in their program. Could be because certain 'foods' are NOT allowed to go outside a country, or into a country etc. and again, EIS is a 'developing' system...so what is/was ok may now not be.

Could be that your energy drink does not meet health and safety standards in the country the buyer is in.

There is something amiss with the global shipping program changes. I have the opposite issue, I am trying to buy things from the UK to be sent to the US and it's popping off with the same shenanigans.

You are the second poster to report this problem with energy drinks in the past week @isellbuy . The other seller sold very well overseas, then suddenly the listings were no longer eligible for eIS. This appears to be a product/category restriction and not something you can do anything about.

If you review all import laws, country-specific product bans, etc very carefully and believe you can ship direct to certain countries, that's the only option available when items aren't eligible for eIS. Shipping liquids requires very specific packaging (waterproof, absorbent materials, etc) and it becomes even more important when shipping overseas.

I've shipped liquids in the US, but I wouldn't send them overseas - not directly - and definitely not if it's carbonated. Too much risk. USPS beefed up their requirements in the not too distant past and they now require triple layers of protection on top of the other requirements.

I had the same issue for the United Kingdom. When I changed my location to the UK, I discovered there was a red warning that said seller did not specify shipping to the UK.

I solved the issue by clicking the switch that allows additional shipping to specific countries, and added Europe and Canada to be safe.

I thought I would need to ship directly to those countries, but when I got a sale to the UK, I was surprised to find that I could by a international shipping label the actually went to eBay international shipping hub and it was insured for $100.

So, I recommend going through all of your listings after changing your location to the UK and when you see the red warning, add additional shipping, NOT flat rate, as price will vary by country.

I'm having an issue where none of my listings over $250 will ship to the UK through the ebay international shipping program. Other sellers with the same items have UK as an option and these are not hazardous goods or anything I can picture UK customs not allowing imports on. It's literally just UK and every other country still shows up on the list.

I had the same issue with not being able to ship to the UK with a Sony Headphone set.  I discovered that if edited the listing and click the Switch the and added OTHER SHIPPING to CALCULATED COST Varies by buyer location, the buyer in the UK was able to buy the Headphones, which he did right away.

The best part was I was able to buy an eBay label that shipped to the same address as global shipping, which included $100 in insurance.  The only difference between Global shipping and OTHER shipping was that I had to pay the full shipping to the UK, which was $23.40, which the buyer paid in advance.  As you know with Global Shipping you only need to pay the US shipping to a HUB in the US.

After finding this issue with the headphones were not being on the global shipping program, I when through all of my listings and changed my location in th/e shipping tap to the UK to see if I could ship to the UK. I found in about 4 of my listings there was a RED Warning line of text that said the buyer in the UK would need to contact the seller for additional shipping method.  If it had that RED line of text, I edited the listing and added ADD OTHER SHIPPING to CALCULATED COST Varies by buyer location.

I have been told that the option for ADD OTHER SHIPPING to CALCULATED COST Varies by buyer location will go away soon, but for now it works.  November 18, 2023.

Good luck!

That's odd.  I'm in Canada.  You're currently showing 206 listings available when I set my location to the United States, and 205 if I set my shipping location to the UK.  I think the one that's not showing up is the chef's knife, and I think it's pretty obvious why there may be restrictions on shipping that one out of the US.
