Is anyone else in the U.K. worried that ebay seem to have joined forces with Hermes under the new name of Shutl? Hermes are the worst courier ever. Parcels go missing or arrived damaged, open or even empty. Trying to get a refund or even a response from them is impossible. It appears that we will even be losing our Parcel Force 48 option on the posting page. I understand that ebay want everything to be tracked for our benefit as sellers but it doesn't matter if it is tracked with Hermes, they will lose it or steal it or break it. I have sent parcles via them that were tracked and signed for only to have them left outside on a doorstep or thrown over a garden wall. Surely this is madness.
Can we as a community not try and pressure ebay into changing their minds or just give us the option of using the old services as they were.
S = stolen
H = hijacked
U =utilized
T = thieved
L = lost

One must be careful when making inflammatory accusations. Recently here, chat rooms were starting the rumor that Tarad (Thailand's oldest e-commerce site) was being taken over by ebay, looking for a foothold in the Kingdom, naturally Tarad sellers started to flee. Luckily, it was just that, a rumor.

It is a rumour that hermes is the worst courier in Britain. According to research on the BBC website, it's the second worst behind yodel! My worst experience with them wasn't bad for me but could have been for the seller. A £140.00 sterling engine from Germany was just dumped in my hand on my doorstep. I tracked it afterwards & it said I'd signed for it. I could have easily claimed non delivery. Definitely not a good idea if it is true that ebay is joining forces with them. Considering the horror stories about them on the web, it does make you wonder what gets into ebay's head. Maybe the insane really are in charge of the asylum

Found this discussion in full again. Only a short version comes up in a search. Anyway, just went through loads of trust pilot pages & god almighty this seems to be really bad news is something goes wrong. They don't use just hermes but any cheapo courier will do. If you go through **bleep**l, they actually compensate you less than the courier they're using does. Collect+ compensates £50 but if you go through **bleep**l, they only compensate £25 so where does the other £25 go? I for one will not buy from anyone using **bleep**l. Horror story after horror story for sellers. A list of items they won't compensate for thats as long as a shakesper play that is cleverly worded to cover everything and anything. A picture frame will be classed as a painted canvas & not compensated. As a seller you've got to be nuts to use these yeeha's

Yep. I've used them twice. Both times parcel delivered to wrong address. NEVER again
