Shipping rate way too high

Hi, I just made a the following bid

low.png

Which states roughly 300 NOK in shipping, not sure why it's expedited to the United States. But on my summary page the expected shipping is set crazy high, almost ten times as much to roughly 2700 NOK.

Have no idea where that estimation is coming from. For that amount of money I could just as well buy  the item brand new and save money. Am I at risk of being screwed over here?

Re: Shipping rate way too high

Seems like a question you should ask on your home site, eBay.uk,com.

Re: Shipping rate way too high

What made me think you were in the UK?

The fact that you mention British pounds? Or was that the symbol for Norwegian currency?

Or the fact that you're registered in Norway?

Re: Shipping rate way too high

After some investigation I suspect there is a double conversion going on. Maybe this is a bug.

Re: Shipping rate way too high

Please visit the listing and halfway down the page click on postage and payments.

Change the country to Norway and click on get rates.

You will see a postage charge and an import charge .

Import charges is for custom entry and your government taxes.

Postage and import charges are always shown on each listing.

Hope this helps.

It shows the assumed correct shipping rate, but no import charge.

Re: Shipping rate way too high

I don't think the import charge will show until you win - they can not calculate a charge until they know the total price to calculate it against. That is why they state Import Charges will be available at checkout

You could google to get an estimation how much import duty is into Norway from UK for the amount you are willing to bid up to I suppose

Re: Shipping rate way too high

Current estimated Import charges are calculated on current bid price of £49.99 .

These Import charges will change depending on final sale price.
