Shipping policy

EBAY should enact a policy that any seller listed as in the US who ships out of a foreign  country like China and doesn't  CLEARLY  state item is not originated in the USA and shipping WILL be delayed .That seller should banned from EBAY. I am tired of waiting on items that can't be tracked or take weeks to arrive .I under stand shipping delays can occur but Over seas , customs and postal shipping delays should be a factor in if you purchase from ANY seller .Spend a few dollar for 8 day shipping or save a few dollars get 3 or 4 shipping updates wait 15 days to get the item if it comes at all. EBAY needs to address this .

Do you have ED @colimr ?Why don 't you use your ED , instead of waiting for your ED to arrive .One day , after that just click ITEM NOT RECEIVED to start a refund request due to that ED has lapsed .Too much of that not meeting ED and the seller will be banned from EBAY !

Re: Shipping policy

It would be nice if eBay would let us buyers know the ACTUAL location right up front on the listing.  China is a cash cow for eBay and I think they are treading lightly on the subject myself.

What one can do is what I did.  I enact my own policy to not buy from them.  It takes some detective work (which we shouldn't have to do) to discern the sellers location via feedback, estimated delivery date etc.

Another way I prevent this is that I don't buy commonly available items without opening another window and checking other sources to see their prices.  I don't want to pay a Chinese (or any other ) seller a dropshipping mark up.

As far as nondomestic items made elsewhere I won't buy unless there's a physical location where I can pick it up first and inspect or return it in person.  Everything seems to be made in China nowdays but unless a retailer in the US has it on their shelves..................................

Re: Shipping policy

Are you talking about the last seller you gave a negative for?

They are from the UK and dropshipping from Aliexpress, which is not allowed.

Have a great day.

Re: Shipping policy

Ebay has no idea; therefore no way to do anything about it.

You can usually tell when item is coming from China (most of the offenders) but just looking at feedback as well as the description, pictures etc.

By the way, you can also 'report' the buyer after the fact and that helps ebay either 'remove' the listing or reprimand the seller.
