before everyone slams me for not understanding how it works I will admit I am lost. I am shipping a VCR/DVD combo from Alabama to CA. Why does my shipping label say 124.00? And will it get adjusted to the correct amount once I scan the item at the post office? I know, I should already know this, it’s only me 2nd item ever sold.

Shipping label is high....assuming you are using a eBay shipping label.
I would just take it to a post office and have clerk put postage on it...to get an understanding how shipping works...weight...height...width...plus a receipt with tracking and that minimum insurance.
Not using the eBay shipping label you will get refunded from eBay eventually.
My main concern is a VCR/DVD combo...those are rather old...does it have instructions?....and are not compatible with new sets or those with online streaming...we have been there "around the block" ...with TV doesn't work with old DVD/VCR combo.
Good luck.

That probably is the correct amount.
It shows it would cost $12 to ship to me, which there's no way you could ship it for $12.

Ebay doesn't automatically refund shipping labels that aren't used (unless you are talking about eBay returns). You have to actually go through the process of voiding an unused label (within 5 days of creating it) if you want a refund for it.

I’m more concerned with the cost. It’s only about 30.00 dollars but the actual label says 124.00. I’m wondering if that’s just an estimate?

There is an adapter you can get.

I don't think I printed the word "automatically"....but "eventually".

The OP had a flat $12 shipping charge on the item.
It's gong to cost them $124 to ship it and they think they'll get the difference back.

What service was selected? (on the label)
What Zips? (on the label)
What weight? (on the label)
What dimensions?

Hope the buyer knows that. We could not as well as our service provider could not to hook up ours to a Roku Set.

I'm guessing that weighs around 12-15 pounds....did you input the weight right on your listing?

Not quite that heavy. Honestly I don’t remember. I’m just trying to figure out why the shipping label says 124.00. I made my first sale last week. Did it the same way and didn’t have that issue.
