Shipping charges no covered under usps insurance claim

Shipped item, ground advantage thru usps.  Item packaged very well.  Item arrived damaged.  Filed claim with usps but will not let me include shipping charges so I am out 12.75 when they damaged it.

Correct, USPS insurance does not cover the cost of shipping for a damaged item. Essentially, we pay extra to have them damage the item.

Shipping cost is only included in the claim when the shipment is "lost".

Shipping only matters, 10% of the time, to USPS if item is declared "Lost" by them. In ANY other situation, the items arrived thus service was carried out....sadly worst carrier on market that is pricing itself out of relevance...

They did deliver it, which is what they are paid to do.

Have a great day.
