How do I package a Pampered Chef pizza stone so it survives shipping? I have the original box so I imagine that will protect it somewhat but probably not enough to prevent breakage. I can't find any instructions anywhere on how to achieve this.
Suggestions?

I make my own custom boxes.
Starting by bubble wrapping a full inch around the stone. Larger bubbles make this quick and easy.
Measure the bubble wrapped item and create a box 1 inch bigger all the way around. Line the box with cardboard sleeves so it has at least .75 inches of cardboard on the top and bottom. Makes it so the item won't move.
If there is any package destroying to be done on a conveyor at a distribution center, your box would be doing the destroying.
I would be shipping UPS Ground.

If possible use double wall boxes. They are better than single wall.

Wrap in bubble wrap. Allow 5 inches on the top and bottom and 3 at the edges. Place extra cardboard around the sides of the box too.

Throwing this out there in case you find it helpful @donnajosbooks:
An item like that will need extra bubble, extra clearance and double boxing.
Due to the size and weight of package and the amount (cost) of packing materials, plus potentially having to create a custom box if you have one of the larger (12-16" size stones), you may find that the cost and efforts of shipping do not balance out with the value of the item.
Assuming it's a one-off and you didn't stumble upon a palette full, this is the type of item I would list with local pickup or consider gifting/donating.

Thanks everyone! So basically, I need to package it like fragile dishes. I can do that.
