BTW this is on a Windows 10 platform
Doing research for printing Ebay online purchased shipping labels
For those who purchase the online postage for USPS or other shipping, the label printing is the weak link to complete the shipping process.
Also those who rely on USPS pickup for convenience of shipping, need the assurance that the label printing process is foolproof.
Cost and reliability of printing without major cost.
Using a printing system other than eBay
Some considerations:
The point being able to print the purchased label with different options the user may have , laser, inkjet, thermal.
Current "how to print different format labels" in community postings was not up to date.
This is what i have noted so far:
Print labels on other than standard printers or in format other than PDF
On "print your shipping label" page in shipping label window on the right select " change format" a small blue color font link .
a pop up box opens on the screen
select the format and size needed, either PDF or PNG
selection of PNG or PDF will limit the size selection of the label
click "SAVE"
the "print your shipping label page" will now should be updated to your selection and will indicate that in the right hand window.
press "purchase and print label"
Now proceed as necessary to open or download label, print packing slip etc.
I usually download the label for safekeeping.
Now it's saved in PDF or PNG format
setting up the printer of choice is another task as always with paper selection and correct orientation.
How do you print your labels , through eBay or a secondary system?

I have always used ebay bulk printing, even for one label.
Today, the bulk printing changed its label flow. It took me a bit longer to print, because I was used to printing the SCAN sheet, label, package list, receipt for label purchase, in that order.
I see now there is no receipt for label purchase, but a Billing information sheet. I needed to select the Regional Rate A label, so that took a bit of a search, and couldn't find where to change the SHIP FROM zip code (although I did not need to do that today)
From the statements shown, it appears one could print just one label at different times of the day, and when ready to ship, then print the SCAN sheet. That should make lots of people happy. I am a low volume seller, and the most packages I've had to ship lately (with 2 selling accounts) is 4 packages, so it wasn't a biggie to wait until just before going to the post office to print my labels and SCAN sheet.
I did fill out the TELL US WHAT YOU THINK option.
