Has anyone else had problems getting Ship Cover to pay? They said because the buyer would not respond that they won't pay. I bought the insurance, it got lost in the mail, they won't pay. This sucks, I'm out money, they are supposed to protect me. Not happy

A lot of insurance requires cooperation from the buyer. Did you contact the buyer and ask them to reply to ShipCover's inquiry?
Was an INR filed? If an INR was filed and paid out then ShipCover may accept that.

Your claim was filed 10/15/25 and is currently waiting for your buyer to verify the loss.
At the time you submitted your claim, eBay automatically sent a link to your buyer asking them to verify they did not receive the item or received it in damaged condition. If your buyer cannot locate that link or message, they can try using the full desktop version instead of the mobile app, make sure messages are not filtered, and check their Archive and Trash folders.
The link was also sent to the buyer’s email address affiliated with their eBay account. The subject line shows “buyer ID, your seller needs you to review a claim”. Unfortunately, eBay cannot resend these automated messages.
Your buyer has 30 days to respond to eBay’s request. If your buyer cannot or will not verify the claim electronically for any reason, after that time we will send you an automated notice and you will be able to send us documentation for manual review at that time.

INR stands for Item Not Received.
I've wished forever that we had a glossary in the sidebar to help with commonly used phrases, words, abbreviations and acronyms like that one.

I had to file a claim with ShipCover recently and they did pay out.
I sold a laptop and it was damaged by USPS, the buyer didn't communicate with me at all, but opened a return and mailed it back. I can't imagine he communicated with ShipCover either.
However, I proactively reached out to them with the necessary documentation and they paid out promptly.

The Post Office lost it, A INR was filed, the buyer was paid out of my account, I'm just trying to recover my money. That's why I paid for the crappy insurance, now they won't pay because the buyer won't respond, I'm getting frustrated.
