Setting shipping cost per country

Hi There,

We are new to selling on Ebay. We want to ship worldwide. But we keep on having problems with the shipping costs.

I can't find where I can give different shipping costs per country. Because for use its cheaper to send a item to Germany then Australia.

How can i make a shipping cost per country.

Thank you very much.

Peter

You are either going to have to use calculated shipping or set your fixed price shipping to an amount that will not cause you to lose money if the buyer happens to live in that country.  You're going to have to be careful to be accurate in entering the weight and dimensions, as well as the type of service you choose, if you use calculated shipping.  For using fixed price you still need to be careful with regards to accuracy, but you will have to do the calculations yourself.

If you choose to use a fixed price charge, you might want to base it on the distance to the most expensive area to which you'll ship, but you should remember that while this will insure that you don't lose money on shipping the item, it may very well cost you potential sales by increasing the cost to those not that far away.

The shipping section on the SYI form includes both domestic and international options.

Personally, I use fixed rates for international customers -- a couple of choices for Canada and a couple of choices for everywhere else. I also exclude many countries. Once in awhile, I may provide a choice for "Europe" and a different choice for UK, Japan, Australia -- much depends on the product and the most likely audience.

Calculated shipping is OK, too, but I like streamlined and simple.

Just use calculated shipping and on't use GSP.
Some countries have different postage rates for various counties or sections like Canada.

Setting shipping cost per country

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for the resonse.

For some reason i just can't find calculated shipping nor can i find global shipping program.

I looked at the shipping policies, and tried to find it when i just want to sell a object.

I have just to options:

No international shipping

fixed cost for al buyers,

Where do i find the calculated shipping or global shipping program.

Thanks

Best regards Peter

Have you even been approved to seller internationally? Most sellers have to sell domestically--within their own country--before they can list internationally.

The global shipping program is only available to US and UK sellers. You are registered in The Netherlands so you cannot use the GSP. Also are you listing on ebay Netherlands or ebay.com?
