Third time this year with a freight forwarding company. Item arrived at the west coast almost a month ago and return was requested this week. Last time around was a freight forwarding company on the east coast and ebay told me I did not need to accept the return. Today they told me I have to accept the return. Buyer is Shop Airlines.
But that is not the username. Isn't it about time that sellers had the ability to block freight forwarders? I don't care if ebay want to have them as buyers...that's fine. But I should have the ability to block my items from going to them, just like APO or FPO or PO Box. Instead, if I get someone with a foreign name, I have to google their address. If I get someone with a business, I have to google the business and see what they do. Then I have to cancel transactions with questionable buyers. eBay is forcing me to do business that way.

Not sure what is your beef? This is just like any other domestic sale. You are responsible for getting the item to freight forwarder. IF the item is reshipped the buyer loses the protections under the MBG. If for some reason eBay requires a return, you are only responsible for shipping to the freight forwarder, so just like any other USA domestic address.
Maybe one is jingoistic and unwilling to sell to someone different? eBay can't help with that. But hey, someone around the world wants what you have on offer? That is a good thing!
Also, why would anyone block APO or FPO addresses unless they were against the military and those serving this country overseas?

Today they told me I have to accept the return. Buyer is Shop Airlines.
I have done business with Shop Airlines, as well as some of their other user IDs. Shop Airlines is different from freight forwarders. A buyer contracts with a freight forwarder to accept packages sent to the forwarder, and the forwarder then sends all packages collected within a specified time to the buyer. The buyer makes the purchase under his/her ebay user ID.
With Shop Airlines, the Japanese buyer contracts with them, and S.A. makes the purchase, and when received, S.A. sends the item to the Japanese buyer. That is why ebay told you to accept the return, because Shop Airlines is the ebay purchaser.
With a freight forwarder, as soon as tracking shows DELIVERED, you are done as a seller. Once the freight forwarder sends the item to the international buyer, the MBG is voided. If the MBG was in affect, you would issue a return shipping label to the freight forwarder. Now, how in the world is the international buyer going to get the item sent to the forwarder, and have someone at the freight forwarder to affix that return shipping label onto a package? High probably that it can't be done. Therefore, no MBG if a freight forwarder is used.
