TO ALL SELLERS!!! Please stop sending bulk packages via USPS during covid! Packages that normally take a few days are now taking 30 days or more! You can easily solve most of these issues using Fedex Or UPS.

Curious, how many eBay purchases have you made since March 2020 that arrived 30+ days? Did you even purchase enough to claim that there is enough evidence to support your conclusion. I use USPS for the majority of my sales. I have had only one package arrive really late. Some may have arrived a couple of days later than the estimated date provided by eBay, but I had the same experience with Fedex. I haven't had any that were delivered at 30 days. I purchase from Amazon frequently too and some of those packages have been arriving later than the estimated delivery as well. Personally I think the whole carrier system has been affected by the increased volume of package shipping since the number of people purchasing online increased with Covid. Prior to the pandemic I had never purchased toilet paper, paper towels, personal care, cleaning products online. Some postal regions have been more affected than others. For mine, I notice it's been the Northeast. Personally I have lost more packages with Fedex and un-scanned parcels than USPS.

The problem I have with UPS at least is they have a rural delivery surcharge, don't deliver to post office boxes, general delivery, etc. Fed-Ex delivery was a krap-shoot when I lived in town. Up where I live now they're more reliable.
No, the USPS so far is doing a good job, all things considered. There's no way I'd be shipping most of my stuff UPS/Fed-Ex - it doesn't make any sense. I have a computer tower I'm listing that may go Fed-Ex due to simple size and weight.

Hate to break it to you, but I don't care and I ship a ton of stuff by USPS. It will all cstch up eventually.

Yes, I had some slow moving sales. All of my buyers were patient....in fact I think I annoyed a couple when I sent a message to let them know I was tracking their package.
FedEx - last package sent to me, FedEx coldn't figure out where I live. Gee, UPS knows where I am, EMTs know where I am. FedEx - nope.
FedEx - the package before that one was put in a grocery store bag and hung from my mailbox. At least they found that.
Fed Ex - the package before that, sent signature required and was to arrive before 10am. Arrived after 3 and was placed in a grocery bag and hung from the mailbox. No signature obtained. Why? Because a previous resident signed a card saying if it was signature required, they didn't have to get a signature, and it applied to ALL residents of the household. Not us, maybe the folks who lived here 19 years ago and were slow to pay some of their bills.
And OP wants me to ship to my customers via FedEX? Really?

I had problems in early/mid December... a lot of delayed packages, one of which just finally popped loose after over a month. But after Christmas, it's been smooth sailing.

I have not had 1 problem using Fed Ex. And I have shipped over 200 packages I believe since this Christmas stuff started.

None of my shipments had any extra charges. If you weigh the stuff right and do the dimensions right there should be no extra added. But, I ship very light items in a 9 x 6 x 2 box.

They need a Govt bailout or they might go bankrupt.

See, that is what I was telling my bf quite a while back. If I get rich, wouldn't it be fun to hand deliver all of my packages! I'd get to meet all my customers, see all kinds of places. What else does someone want to do if they are rich? But him and my brother said uh-uh, doesn't sound fun. No one knows about fun.

I would say Chicken Little the sky is not falling as you claim from my own experience. Unless you love sticking it to your customers with higher, much higher, shipping costs, most will stay with the USPS. No pickup charges, special delivery fees, fuel surcharges, you name it. I thought of switching for a second there to try UPS and FedEx. UGH! I could not even figure out all of their charges let alone get stuck with pickup fees. USPS I remain, as I have for over 40 years.

I find it amusing posters like yourself wag about shipping costs like you are an expert when you nothing for sale. Not sure how you can speak of what you don't know. Have a good day!

I was just thinking the same thing. LOL

Factoid for the day - the USPS ships in one day more mail volume than USP and FedEx combined do in ONE YEAR.

Thanks for relieving the majority of us USPS mailers here! Just curious. Just how will you know when to switch delivery carriers? 🙂 Telepathically? FYI - USPS MI is running fine now.
