Sellers need to use alternative shipping methods besides USPS

TO ALL SELLERS!!! Please stop sending bulk packages via USPS during covid! Packages that normally take a few days are now taking 30 days or more! You can easily solve most of these issues using Fedex Or UPS.

dont know whats up with bulk but i ship first class and since after christmas my items are getting to their destination  exactly on time or way early with usps.  guess  my mojo is working.

Your post here is pretty much a waste of keyboard strokes.  Few will see it.

If the shipping service choice is a concern to you, contact the seller that you may be purchasing from to voice your concerns with shipping methods/choices.

Find a seller that is in sync with your desires.

UPS, and FedEx are not viable shipping options for me. No pickup/no drop of within a reasonable distance, and shipping would be unrealistic cost wise.

Additionally way too many horror stories about outrageous "after the fact surcharge/add on fees" especially with FedEx.

FED ex charges with Ebay’s Discounted rates are not that much higher than USPS. If people would just realize this and stop using this lousy service for now things would improve around here regarding this issue. Saving on shipping is going to cost you a lot of stress angry impatient customers, lost merchandise, free merchandise to buyers and by all means continue to use USPS if you want all that, for your money.

I sell paper items. My normal USPS ship cost is $3.50 or $3.75.  USPS pickup is free.

To ship them Fedex or UPS would be $8-$10. Fedex charges a $4 pickup fee, UPS charges $11.95.

As a buyer, are you willing to pay that?

As far as all that goes, I've only had one package not arrive and had to refund.

Same here-- haven't had a single problem since Christmas. I've had a couple of things take a day or two longer than the expected delivery date, but that's not even an issue. I had two things go clear across the country in two days just last week, one Priority and one First Class. No complaints here.

i dont mind it when someone bashes usps as thats just one more person less in line and one more person thats not clogging  them up. lol.

Oh, and you wanna know WHY UPS and Fedex stay on time for their deliveries? They can and do reject packages if they become overloaded and feel they cannot deliver on time.

Guess where all those rejected packages wind up? Yep, USPS, who by mandate cannot refuse any properly addressed and paid for mail.

So you could say that USPS is in a backlog partly because of Fedex and UPS not delivering their own  packages and dumping them off on USPS.

Actually USPS problems is the over flow from UPS, FEDEX and a majority is from the "river", my mail lady's jeep is 3/4 packages from the "river" which pay's pennies on the dollar to USPS

That is the next best thing to do other than sellers just changing their shipping method. Message the seller and ask them to send FED EX or UPS and PAY them for the additional cost.
