I'm in the US, the item I wish to bid on Is by a seller in the UK. He has a bid on his auction already so is unable to add worldwide shipping to his auction. But has added my user name to his 'Exemption' list so this should allow me to bid. But when I try, I still get the message that he doesn't ship to the US. Anyone have any ideas on what to try next?

Ask the seller to double-check that your name has been indeed saved and is spelled correctly. Before that, I would clear history and all ebay cookies this often helps in situations like this when info needs to be updated.

you may need a uk address to bid ... log in to ebay.co.uk, add a legit local uk shipping address & you should be able to bid from ebay.com ... change back to your local address on checkout

- log in to ebay.co.uk
- add a uk shipping address as an 'alternate' shipping address
- before bidding on ebay.com, change your primary shipping address to the uk
- you should be able to bid from ebay.com
- if you win, change back to your local address on checkout
- or, ask the seller for an invoice with international shipping
