I bought an xbox one s digital edition from a seller on eBay for $177 . Immediately after purchase, the item was removed by eBay for unknown reasons and a tracking number was created. I thought nothing of it. Fast forward a couple of days later to today the day after it was supposed to be delivered. I say after it was supposed to be delivered because it never arrived and the tracking just says it was created like when I bought the item. I decided to do some digging around and the tracking number apparently doesn't even exist on UPS's website. I opened a INR case with eBay and the seller responded with something very interesting. They said, "You have the wrong seller .I do not deal in those products." Those were their exact words. What should I do? Should I not respond and wait till 05/08/20 when eBay can step in. This has never happened to me before as I try my best to only buy from legitimate sellers. Their profile has 100% positive feedback so i'm kind've shocked this happened.
Here's a picture of what the purchase looks like from my account.

That looks like a Fed Ex tracking number, did you check that? Otherwise just file a INR claim with Ebay.

I just tried that and the number doesn't exist on FedEx's website, also will eBay eventually refund me if I can't work this out with the seller?

It's an Xbox One console... But the fact that the seller is claiming that he never sold it to me and stole my money is bogus. I guess I will wait for eBay to step in.
Yes, that's not something they usually sell, high-end candy and heart meds. Was it coming from Australia? And that tracking number is fake: xx-83-83-83-83-xxxx is too repetitive, and too many digits for FedEx.
Just to be clear, if you haven't received a refund, you have to click Ask eBay to step in on Friday; eBay will not escalate on their own.

I did a reverse search of the user id that's mentioned and look at this item. If you copy and paste this it takes you to what looks like an ebay site with this user's id selling a game console. I don't know if this helps but I thought I would put it on here for you.
