Scan problems with usps

I have had packages with no movement after the first received scan at the 

distribution hub, then no movement for over 24 days now as of 3/13/2021

What I'm going to do since the postal service is watching our weight and 

charges us for wrong weight on the label and now the good part they

do refund over payments. I don't think over payments will cause any problems

if they do hopefully they will give a warning first. I will start overpaying by a few ounces

as those do get refund, and now will have a record of the over payments when ebay does

the shipping label over and under payment report, also those records are good for a long

time to access any information needed.

I think this will happen, when our packages go to the first acceptance hub

they get scanned and checked for proper postage.  That creates a record more 

than just a upc code scan maybe this under and over payment packages get handled

differently, will have to see.

If your package weighs 2 lbs, 8 ounces, increasing the weight to 2 lbs, 10 ounces does nothing since the carrier rounds up to 3 lbs and that is what you are charged for, 3 lbs. Best to just make sure your package weights are correct.
