Hi eBay community.
I've recently fell victim of the Dropshipping European scam that's going on. To make long story short, I've sold a pretty expensive computer part, had it delivered to a re-shipper that is in Delaware, had the buyer claim the item arrived broken (which is not true at all), once I accepted the return, I received a small package that was NOT the graphics cards that I sold to the buyer. I made a claim with eBay and won it, showed them enough proof that I didn't receive my item back and I won the claim.
All good until that point right?
WRONG. The buyer made a claim with their bank stating the item was broken/defective and eBay, they of course went on to win the claim even though I proved to eBay and their bank that I WON the original claim and the buyer is a scammer.
I tried to appeal the decision and eBay INSTANTLY denied the appeal and said the item isn't covered by seller guarantee or something of the sorts. I called Customer Service, chatted with them, NOTHING has worked so far. It's great that eBay is stealing from honest sellers. And they won't get a penny from me. I'm going to close my bank account and let them try to take the money from there, which of course, they won't be getting their hands on.
THANKS ebay for ruining many people's experience.

Unfortunately, everytime a buyer opens a claim with the credit card company, they will win. Ebay is powerless. The best that you can do is report that buyer for fraud. If he/she keeps doing it , they void their buyer protection. You can also ask ebay to return the fees for this transaction as a courtesy. Finally, save the page where it states that the money was taken out of your account. That is a loss for when you do your taxes next years.

File a complaint with the Better business Bureau against ebay. I have done it multiple times when I have had a buyer issue and ebay just took their side in their automatic claims process. Ebay paid me each time as they knew they were wrong.

ebay used to say that the buyer's protection was cancelled if their item was sent by a re-shipper. Where did your return item come from?
