Hi sellers:
In case you're unaware, size matters for USPS Ground Advantage shipping. On eBay's shipping page, it states:
https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/shipping/choosing-a-carrier-and-service/usps-and-ebay-labels
Ground Advantage™ Cubic
Cubic rates will automatically display in eBay Labels when the cubic price is lower than the non-cubic rate.
Weight limits and maximum package size: Up to 20 lbs., with a cubic volume of up to 1.0 cubic foot (1,728 cubic inches) and maximum dimensions of 18” on any side.
For example, I shipped a mug from NYC to Florida yesterday. The listing included free USPS Ground Advantage shipping. The weight was 1 lb. 15 oz. The first box I grabbed was 10" x 8" x 5". Cost to me with eBay Labels: $8.98.
The mug also fit securely in a smaller box—5" x 5" x 5". Cost to me with eBay Ground Advantage: $7.57.
Needless to say, the mug shipped safely in the smaller box, satisfying the buyer and increasing my profit margin.
Do you check box sizes when shipping with Ground Advantage?
