Re: SHIPPING

I have mentioned previously that the "estimated delivery date" eBay shows causes more problems and trouble than it is worth. That process is totally out of their control and buyers take it as the holy writ and open INR cases if the item is 1 day past the eBay estimated delivery date (which may be different than the carriers) In many cases this causes major headaches for the sellers who often have to refund the buyer only to have the package show up at the buyers address if the seller was unable to recall it. If the seller has refunded the buyer you hope that an honest buyer will either return the item or pay you for it.

Regardless of what you put in the posting about the postal delays the eBay policy still holds. I spend a lot of time checking shipping status on the items I have sold to make sure they are delivered on time and if not I take a proactive approach and open a missing package case with USPS and contact the buyer to let them know the situation.

Yes, WARN the buyers again that there are going to be some delays again with USPS. They are dropping off again especially in the MIDWEST Region, as of this posting date. DC area also lagging behind.

I live in DC, we're not having any issues here. Everything I've shipped has been processed through the local sort facility and sent on its way the same night I shipped it, and everything I've purchased has arrived within 3-4 days.
