I have an issue when i am trying to ship an item specifically a First Class item, may be I am missing something here idk. The item is 11 ounces, it says the buyer will pay 3.10 on the ad page but when you go to print a label is says 3.66 for 11 ounces!!! Same weight, isn't First Class the same to any US address??? - Two other auctions I have sold First Class have the same story, where it says "The buyer pays X amount, doesn't match the price it gives me when I select the correct weight to ship it--Thanks

When you set up the listing, you selected "Flat" for the type.
You need to select "Package (or thick envelope)"
11 oz Flat $3.10 (no tracking)
11 oz Package $4.80 retail / $3.66 online (has tracking)

Are you referring to USPS Flat Rate Envelope?

No, I'm referring to the info you put in for package type & weight.
If you're using the eBay interface, you chose Large Envelope (which is a Flat)

No. Flat, in this case, refers to the shape, not the rate. You need to select first class PACKAGE.

Not the Priority flat rate envelope. The error was made in the drop-down menu for "Package type" when setting up the shipping calculator. So you are getting the prices for a "First Class flat" (AKA Large envelope).

Gotcha- but wouldnt whatever I put here still reflect on the label print page? --
After I make the selections under shipping and submit my changes, it shows one price on my ad($3.10), and a total other under the shipping($3.66) for the same weight under First Class-- Doesn't it reflect on the shipping page what I input on my form?
I usually use FREE shipping so this is a bit confusing, I have made some changes after USPS did its thing- and apparently FEDEX also.

Huh?

Nevermind - I am a bit confused myself. I think I will just go back to free shipping and adjust my total- Thanks anyway

No, because eBay only prints shipping labels for packages. Even if you list a 5-ounce flat (Large envelope), the label will be for a 5-ounce package.

No, the reason it won't let you print a $3.10 flat envelope is that eBay only sells for Package services and not flats or plain white envelope (stamps) items. If your item qualifies a a flat, you can buy that $3.10 at the counter, but it can't be done online.
