Richmond VA USPS Processing Facility is experiencing significant backup

I am seeing / experiencing significant USPS mail delays in the Richmond VA facility.  I was told today over 500,000 packages are backed up in Richmond, the USPS's 2nd largest processing facility.

Over 70 employees did not show up for work over the weekend...

I would like for eBay to adjust their delivery projections for mail being processed thru this facility and I'd like to see some Seller protections extended to those of us experiencing this situation.

I agree. I mailed out a package the day after I received payment. It went out Dec. 11th, made it to Richmond on the 14th, and has been sitting there ever since. It's a bigger package, nearly 3 ft long so I doubt it's lot, but it was a fairly pricey item and I'll feel better once it actually gets delivered. I hope my buyer didn't need it for a christmas present because I'm losing confidence rapidly.
