Returns shipping label question

When you have "automatically approved returns" set up for your buyers and a return is requested and automatically approved- does the seller still need to go in and "purchase" the "Return Shipping Label", or is this not already automatically done? C/S told me it is automatically done but I had one customer ship an item back at the post office and another say that he is waiting for the return shipping label I told him was already issued by ebay? Confused but don't want to be charged for one twice???

Returns shipping label question

I am am also in the automatic returns program, you do not have to do anything, click anything or approve, customer service has told me repeatedly that the instructions for the buyer to print out the label are all over the place and easy to find and they also remind them every single time they log in to print the label and return the item.the CSR`s have told me its not something they will miss easily.if they are having trouble with it,its not something you can do on your end

Returns shipping label question

Thanks Tuna, That was what I thought- but my last two returns swore they never received any kind of email with any return shipping label? I also noticed in the return details, on my end, that the instructions said to purchase a return shipping label for the buyer? This made me re-check that I was even offering free returns. (I was). I did purchase a shipping label, got a thanks right away from a buyer and the other buyer went and bought his own shipping. So, yeah, ... still pretty confused on this. Started getting out of free returns anyhow. I don't think it makes business sense in the end. Thanks

Returns shipping label question

I am also in the auto-returns, and I find that sometimes the label is generated by eBay, and the whole thing is a done deal by the time they tell me about it, but sometimes I have to accept the return, after which I am given the option of having eBay send a label or sending one myself.  I don't really understand why it goes  one way or the other, I just try to go with the flow.
