Returning an item while its shipping

I ordered a slim dvd drive for a thing I'm doing but I realized that it won't fit where I want it to fit and I can get something cheaper, but the item is still shipping. Should I wait until the item comes to return it or return it now?

If it is in route you can't return it now  you need to wait for it to arrive then request a return when it arrives if your seller allows returns

If your seller allows returns then select  doesn't fit

You cannot return what you do not yet possess.  When you receive it, if the seller has a return policy other than NO RETURNS you should be able to request a return for CHANGED MIND reason.  You return shipping will probably be on your dime and you may also only receive a refund for actual price of the item not including the initial shipping.
