I recently purchased an Ice Maching listed as Refurbished Condition. It was a local pick up item about an hour away. When I hooked it up the next day I found out it leaks from the top of the machine. I sent the seller a message telling him about the leak and that I'd like to return it. He said "It was working fine with me I never had any issues with leaking. If you have issues you ll need to work it out through eBay." I then marked that I'd like to return the item through ebay, and the seller marked return accepted and ebay says I should wait for a shipping label, even though it was a local pickup item? I'm just wondering why the seller accepted the return if he doesn't intend to accept the return. Also why does ebay want me to wait for a shipping label if it was a local pickup item.
Am I screwed!?

Local pickup or not, the seller is required to pay for return shipping on all not as described returns. Did you pay for this with PayPal?

No, you are not "screwed" .... Once the Seller accepted the return, they are obligated and you are at the point of logistics. If you have not received the return label (check your email account associated with eBay), about now, I would be calling eBay and ask them what to do.... they are very helpful. The first person will be Customer service and the next will likely be a Return Specialist. If you wind up physically returning the item (maybe too large to ship back), you need something signed to prove you returned it... like a copy of the eBay return request. And just for fun, or not, a photo or two from your camera at the return location would also be good to have, but imperative to have if Seller refuses to sign for the return.

The OP does not need to physically prove he returned the item and pictures and a signature are not necessary & wont be accepted by PayPal. The seller is the one who must retrieve the item.
