I shipped out an item and described it to the best of my knowledge as new in package as it was. i opened it to photograph. well buyer is saying it is a second and wants to return it. he said there was sloppy hand painted dates on neck behind scarf. Should i accept the returnas i have no way of knowing if he has a defective one and got my good one and is passing it off to me as a bad one. Thank you for your help community Sherry

You have no choice but to accept the return
Do you have photographs of the area he is talking about? If yes you compare it to when you get it back. If not there isnt much you can do.
You should always try and photograph items from every angle - it reduces this kind of claim

yep... sellers have zero recourse when a scammer screws them... fortunately, most buyers are honest...
