Return an iotem

I purchased an item and requested a return with the seller and he refused and closed my request.  Now I'm able to request eBay to step in.  He stated he doesn't accept returns and the item was correct in the ad. However, unbeknownst to me, there are 3 versions of the product. The version wasn't listed in the ad title. It cost me $540 so it's a big hit.

I'm unable to get assistance from eBay. How do I request eBay to step in? I'm supposed to have a money-back guarantee but seems like a scam.

@jocar_1090

If the reason that you chose on eBay allows the seller to refuse the return then you are done on eBay.  You do not get a second, or third chance one EBay.

Sellers with a "no return policy" can decline for a reason that falls into the "remorse" choice list.

Re: Return an iotem

Clearly you did not read the item's discription.  I have pasted it below in its entirety:

-------------------

GPS 2400-2 (240 VAC) Air purification Global Plasma Solution bi-polar ionization . Condition is New. Shipped with USPS Priority
Sales are final no returns.

--------------------

Additionally the feedback you left is a violation of eBay policy.  You can not mention eBay in a feedback.

The money back guarantee assures that a buyer will receive the item they purchased and it will be in its described condition. By your own statement, you did.

Your reason for return is a remorse return, and sellers with a no return policy can deny those types of returns.

Is it fair to your seller to make them pay for YOUR mistake because you didn't know what you were buying?

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

He stated item was as described:

If the item was not as described: then you would have a chance.

Resolution center at bottom of the page file item not as described.

Re: Return an iotem

What was the reason for your return?

If it was because you changed your mind, then you're out of luck.

If it was not-as-described, damaged, or was the wrong item, then you should be able to use Ebay's money-back-guarantee.

Re: Return an iotem

The item they received was as described, they just didn't read the description or know that there are different "versions" of the same model.

The seller is not at fault and the item would only be accepted as a MBG if the OP lied when they filed the request.  At least they are not a liar!  +1 to OP!

I would suggest the OP resell the item on eBay.  The loss they will have to incur is due to their own fault, not the seller!

Sorry to be so harsh, but if eBay buyers can't take the time to read a 20 word description (see my post above), then they shouldn't waste a seller's time or cost them money or hurt their reputation!  The OP has done all of the above.

Unfortunately, that advice is defective.

@jocar_1090

It is a big hit. Especially when all the other buyers got the same thing for about half what you paid. Dang.

Feedback comments containing inappropriate content
Removable

These types of feedback comments may be removed:

Feedback containing personally identifying information about another member, such as a member's address, phone number, email address, or real name. We may also remove feedback that can be used to obtain personally identifying information about another member, such as a shipment tracking number

Feedback not related to a sale, including a comment, reply, or follow-up related to a different sale

Feedback containing political, religious, social, or other commentary, rather than genuine comments about a sale

Feedback containing language that is profane, vulgar, obscene, or racist, as well as comments containing adult material or physical threats

Negative feedback comments that directly contradict a positive rating. (When the comment is posted by the seller. This type of contradictory comment is not removable when left by the buyer.)

Feedback containing links or promotional language which encourages buyers to purchase outside of eBay

Feedback that includes references to law enforcement investigations or eBay or PayPal investigations

OP left this feedback:
"Seller doesn't accept returns. Should have known not to purchase from Ebay."

OP's feedback left is clearly stating they should not have purchased from eBay and also encourages anyone who reads it to think twice about shopping here.

@kako_5344 Just as I said, the OP's feedback has been removed for the reason I stated.  It's always best to know all the rules on a platform you use!  -Cheers!
