You will need to provide some details like zip codes, weight & package dimensions in order for someone to give you an answer as to what happened.

I would have to assume there was some kind of erroneous information entered into the ebay shipping form causing the price to be inflated, there is no reason for the price to be that much different otherwise.
In fact now if you have usps shipping account and do the label online the discount is virtually the same if not the exact same as the discount offered thru ebay. just doing it thru ebay is more convenient.

I ran into something today that really shocked me. eBay wanted to charge me $97 for a “discounted” USPS Ground Advantage label. Nothing about that seemed right to me, so I went directly to USPS and got the exact same label for only $18.
That’s almost an $80 difference for the same package, same service, same destination.
Appreciate any insight—because right now, I’m baffled.
obviously some input error...care to share the highlighted numbers...I would love to see if I get that error. (please don't forget the originating Zip Code)

I don’t believe it was an input error. I did it twice to make sure I wasI was not crazy. I am trying now to go back and re-create it to see if I get something else, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to create a new shipping label unless it’s for something that’s been purchased, but not shipped yet. I tried editing the shipping rate on one of my current listings, but it doesn’t account for the ZIP Code it’s going to until there’s actually a ZIP Code from a buyer. Do you know of a way to re-create this label, not to purchase, but just to look at?

Just go to your Paid & Shipped list for that item...click the 3 dots for the drop-down options, and click the "Print another Label"... option
You can change the parameters as required, etc....and see the estimate for ground advantage without actually printing another label....
Just close the browser so you don't accidentally print another label

The mirror? If so, I see it would have been $15 shipping to Oregon.

Sounds like OP accidentally added an extra digit into one of the dimension fields. I think we've all done that by accident at least once or twice, and hopefully went back and fixed it before purchasing the label 😉

How was it resolved? It can possibly help others.
