Hello! I ordered a microSD card for $16 and it turned out to be defective. I opened a return request explaining the issue and got an email saying within the first couple hours saying the seller accepted my return request, and the email had the next steps for returning, but I didn't see a shipping label despite eBay saying to use the provided shipping label. Then 22 minutes later I got an email stating the seller refunded the $16. Does this mean I don't have to return the item? I contacted the seller asking how to protect the item since it's so small and unpackaged. I haven't receive a response yet. I have never returned something on eBay so I have no idea what I'm doing, but I don't want to assume I just keep the item without being sure. Thank you for any help you can provide.

You dont have to return it..the seller refunding you without getting the item back first is self explanatory.

Yes, on inexpensive item like a $16 card, the seller probably figured it wasn't worth it to take a return. Probably cost the seller between $2.74 to $4.20 to ship that card to you. So a return label might cost toward the lower end of that and by the time all shipping is paid, there is no profit. Plus what is a seller going to do with a damaged not working card?
So yeah, seller refunded and you don't have to return it.
