Purchased a item. Item is defective straight from manufacturer. Look Up Denon 4700 H HDMI problem, anyway.

Contacted seller to NOT send item due to data I found on item after I paid.

Seller agreed to issue refund but told ME to initiate the claim so I went in paypal and opened Dispute.

Problem is, seller cant issue refund now cause he didnt accept paypal. He states he accepted the new ebay payment system.

So Now I have a open dispute in paypal for 1650$. Dispute is just sitting there getting ignored. Cant escalate cant do anything with it except close it. It says "ebay" needs to respond. Not the seller but ebay! So it seems Ebay is still doing business through paypal but has taken out the sellers from the paypal transaction and placed themselves into that category. So now, I highly doubt ebay will respond and give me the refund.

Cant get anyone at ebay or paypal to take a phone call. Cant find any way to send ebay a message to fix this so I can get a refund. Do I need to open a credit card dispute?

Hopefully someone will come along with a better answer, but when PP was the accepted payment method, opening a PayPal dispute negated your ability to open an eBay dispute.

However, since you used PayPal, they should still honor your claim. It just may take them a while to get the money back from eBay. I've heard that getting a refund from Managed Payments can take up to 3 weeks, so you'll have to decide whether to wait or go to your CC holder. If you do go to your CC, remember that PayPal will close your case, disrupting whatever they are working on.

after this is resolved im leaving... i put up with enough. this route ebay and paypal took is obsurd..

Cant talk to anyone. Cant get anything done when problems arrise.. Fees, taxes, its unbelievable the nonsense going on. I dont see how anyone can profit on here anymore. Literally that $1650 is still sitting in ebays bank account and noones doing anythign about it.. After figuring out that I had to type the word "agent" in the little chat box over at paypals so called help center to get a real person to look at my chat request paypal responded and Paypal said it would be till jan 19th till they do step in an dissue a refund. I dont have time playing around with this nonsense. This is disgusting

For a PayPal dispute @*badabingbadabids* the timeline is the same whether your seller is the seller, or eBay is the seller: In each instance the seller got paid.

You do not need to talk to eBay, or contact PayPal, what so ever. If anything, doing so will slow down your progress as either puts a hold on your case to get answers for you. Moreover, that 19th sounds like the date your case will close with NO REFUND, rather than the date PayPal must wait for to issue a refund.

Instead, if you haven't already, click the Escalate to PayPal link second from the bottom of your Messages page RIGHT NOW to escalate your dispute to a claim, to get your refund.

There's your problem. If you'd requested a cancellation, it'd be fixed by now... if your seller approved it, that is.

did not I say that there is no escalete button? I am pretty sure I explained the whole situation. Let me add a few more bits of info. I had to message paypal. Why? cause paypal nor ebay actually answers for anymore. All these fees taxes ( even if you buy from a nother country wich is basically theft) and we get a little box to message people when we run into a probelm and then to make it worse you have to type the word AGENT to get a real person to look at your words or you will get some automatic bot replies. I had to find out ALLL of this the hard way... BTW you have to message these people from your computer. if you try it from the apps this will not work in the app so dont even try it. I did already and this method works only from PC. So as I stated before.. Im done here. Im just waiting for the refund to happen. I say 19th cause thats what the paypal agent told me is the day they will issue the refund. PayPal also had to escalate it for me cause there is no escalate button. WHY? cause again, this new payment method caused glitches and the paypal transaction will only show EBAY as seller. Not the actual sellers account. Wont even show the item! When I opened teh dispute I had to put a url link with pics in teh dispute cause the transaction is attached to NOTHING! That means, If I buy ANYTHING form ebay. If I buy ALL your products right now and then this happens again with this glitch, I could potentiall get all free items if I was a crook cause ebay would let the dispute happen cause they dont bother responding and YOU wouldnt beable to do anythign cause you arent attached to the transaction. Awesome isnt it? Yall really want to stick around here and wait fo rthis kind of thing to get the attention of all the scammers.. cool..Im not... If you think Im making it upp.. cool whatever.. Im only here to wait this out then im outta here..

the seller is a scammer.. Gave me runaround.. Wouldnt ship item. Had low feedback selling expensive items. Told me if i wanted a refund to request a cancelation. Tried that and ebay said its too late caus eI paid already, So i told him to cancel it and issue a refund, he waited, waited, so I said hey man.. I want the refund or send the item. SO he said i need to request a refund... SO I did.. through paypal cause ebay wouldnt let me cause I paid with paypal and not the new payment system.. dont ask why or how this all happened I dont know.. But it did... fleebay is nothing like it use to be.. Sacmmers galore.. I just saw a seller on here with not one or 2 or 20.. But HUNDREDS of negatives all saying the sellers is selling fake battteries... Wheres ebay? Why doesnt ebay have some A.I. that auto triggers to look into so many bad feedbacks? But if I get a situation liek I am in, I have to wait 2 weeks for a refund PLUS I cant even leave a feedback.. SMH man this is garbage. Seriously you all stay here and youre just begging to get scammed one way or the other...
