Need help with combined shipping

Customer bought 2 separate items (each of the items were going First Class, but if I combine them in 1 box, they will be too heavy for first class shipping

*Shipping wasn't free for either (customer pays)

How do I combine shipping through Ebay's shipping page?

If I combine shipping and can only ship USPS Priority (not First Class), I would most likely pay more for shipping then the buyer paid.

Hope this makes sense, could use some guidance/help.

Thanks!

You can’t. But there’s a work around. First MAKE SURE the shipping address for both purchases are EXACTLY the same. Sometimes the same buyer can buy multiple items shipped to multiple people as gifts. Once confirmed, create a postage label for one of the purchases... enter the weight and service for BOTH ITEMS COMBINED. Once you create that postage, upload that tracking number to the other purchase that doesn’t have a postage label linked to it. Done.

Lol. Then why do it? There’s no rule that says you must combine shipping if possible. Just ship them both out separately and save money then.

Hope this makes sense, could use some guidance/help.

Thanks!

You aren't obligated to combine shipping and many sellers do not. In your case you cannot because the weight moves the package to a more expensive manner of shipping. If buyer requested combined shipping just explain the weight issue and you'll be fine. Ship them separately using first class as the buyer has paid for the separate shipping. You'll be fine.
