Refund Requested

What could I possibly have done differently? I sent this item to the buyer on the day it was purchased. The 26th of December it went out. It's now January 5th and she has requested a refund which I have given her. But the item is available for pickup in Miami at the address where she gave -- Miami FL. But in response to my comments after she requested the refund and after I sent her all the tracking information showing it was ready for pickup in Miami, she states now that she is in Guatemala and gives an address for a courier deliver. I have never heard of such thing. Item refunded. I lost money. Ugh

You could have @naednelle

1. "reached out" behind your back with your left hand after cleaning your fingernails to eBay, or

2. "call" eBay -- that's quicker.

eBay would have closed the Item Not Received refund request in your favor, as

eBay considers Available for Pickup the same as Delivered.

The freight forwarder has numerous packages available for pickup, and because of the volume, none of them are scanned as Delivered when it arrives at the post office to take them all.

We have no bahamas today.

It may be that her reshipper in Florida has dropped the ball. If you have now refunded her, it might not be too late to get the package intercepted and returned to you, if possible. In your case, that seems a bit iffy, as one of the exclusions to the USPS Package Intercept service is if the item is addressed to a "Commercial Mailing Receiving Agency," which sounds like it's describing a reshipper; I don't know. If they are successful in retrieving your package, you will be charged $14.10 plus the cost of Priority Mail postage to return it to you. (You are not charged if the retrieval is not successful.)

This post is just for your future reference...

Probably just a coincident but this happened to me last year, a buyer from Guatemala wanted an item but I had their country blocked. USPS actually had a memorandum at the time to be cautious shipping there, so the buyer got a reshipper from Miami.
Anyways, the same "waiting for pickup" happened and the buyer opened an INR, I simply entered the tracking number and clicked "return for refund". It took about 2 weeks to be returned which is when I refunded.
