We want this tractor, didn’t realize it was on eBay. Seller is in TN we are in CA. They say they will ship and we will have 5 days to review and then $ will be processed. The price is very low. It just doesn’t seem possible that this is real? Is this standard practice?

SCAM!!!
Ebay gift cards are only used to pay for items on ebay and you enter the numbers at checkout. Sellers NEVER ask for the card number. Or if they ask you to pay in another non-refundable method such as wire transfer it's still a SCAM.
Ebay has nothing to do with sales on other sites. Report the listing to the site you found it on.
Pay for cars or other large items in person so that you know that it's in the condition that the seller stated. If the item has a title be sure to get it when you pay.

I'm glad you came here for help before you were ripped off, not all are as fortunate.

If you saw this item any where but eBay, it is a scam. eBay does not have a warehouse, eBay doesn't have a shipping service, and eBay doesn't offer 5 day inspections and reviews.
Be Careful.

It's a scam.

There is no tractor. Report the ad to the website that you found the ad on.

"Here’s how the scam works: Criminals post ads on online auction and sales websites, like eBay Motors, for inexpensive used cars (that they don’t really own). They offer to chat online, share photos, and answer questions. They may even tell you the sale will go through a well-known retailer’s buyer protection program. Recently, sellers have been sending fake invoices that appear to come from eBay Motors and demanding payment in eBay gift cards. If you call the number on the invoice, the scammer pretends to work for eBay Motors. Trusting buyers have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past year alone."

This sounds like a SCAM.
Did you find the tractor on another site? ebay has no connection with any site selling items.
ebay does not have a warehouse, does not ship an item to you for free, and then ship it back if you don't like it. DO NOT purchase any gift cards and send the codes to the "seller".
Motor vehicle sales on ebay are nonbinding. Either party can walk away. Motor vehicle sales are usually done in person, after the buyer inspects the vehicle, and pays the seller with cash or cashier's check in exchange for the keys and title.

It's standard for liars and thieves. They steal your money and send nothing. That is how they keep their costs down. With a business like that, they can offer very low prices and free shipping.
