On the updated shipping screen, I can select USPS or FedEx options and print all from my Dymo 4XL thermal printer only if the buyer pays for a USPS service. If they actually select FedEx, than only the classic label printing page comes up and I can only print the FedEx label using a traditional paper printer. Why can't I get the updated shipping screen when FedEx is chosen at checkout?

Ebay's FedEx labels revert to the standard inkjet/laser format. However, if you turn off the receipt/instruction half of the label (in the printer and receipt preferences), you should be able to get the label to fit on the 4XL's 4"x6" label.
Make sure your browser is set to open PDF files with Adobe and not its built in reader. When the label preview opens in the Adobe window, set the Target Printer to the 4XL, then try adjusting the scale to make the label fit. You may need to also change the orientation.
This use to work, but so many changes have be made, additional tweaks may be needed. Let me know how you make out, and if you need further suggestions.
If you ship a lot of FedEx, best to get your own account. Link it to ebay for the discounts, but then use the free desktop version of ShipRush for FedEx, which directly supports the Dymo and imports directly from ebay, PayPal, and other venues.

Ebay revamped the page for USPS, but evidently not for FedEx, so there is no new page. You can also switch back to the classic page for USPS, as the new page does not have all the options the old page had.
FedEx always selected the half page format. Make the 4XL the default printer, if you always want to print to it.
