As long as I can remember .. There was a "button" about 1/3 of the way down the listing (just above the description, on the right side) that allowed you to choose one of 3 options for printing out your item listing.
I always printed out a copy of the listing and included it in the package with the item. Today I went to do the same thing and the "Print" button was gone. Why ? This tool is of GREAT use. I used it for EVERY sale I made. I called eBay customer service and they had no answer. The only suggestion was to do use the "Print Screen" option on my computer. This isn't as good as the eBay Print Listing because it includes info that isn't useful to the buyer and it doesn't leave the proper space I used to mark the item Paid In Full and a Thank You for your purchase note.
How can I / we let eBay know how important this button was ? Any suggestions ?
Thanks in Advance,

Hi notrs*jane,
The printouts are essential to my records for tax purposes, but more importantly as my reference materials for my collections. Since eBay does not keep detailed listing records for more than a few months, I must print out each auction win so that I can physically refer to the descriptions and photos for insurance purposes and descriptions of those items I use in my business, etc. I mostly buy items with historical relevence, and the details are immensely important.
I spoke with eBay on March 5, and was told that the missing print button is a glitch resulting from a recent update. Tech support is supposedly working on restoring it. Since this feature has been lost before (and eventually restored), I honestly, I don't know what to believe. But the bottom line is that any tech support team that can't fix this issue in as many days as the problem has been happening probably deserves replacing.
Based on the conversation I had on March 5 with the eBay rep, I have continued to make purchases. I anticipate being able to print my auction wins. But this is dragging on way too long, so I have now begun to curtail my purchases on eBay and have given more priority to other auction sites.
Ebay is its own worst enemy, so very often.

This thread contains multiple repetitions of the instructions for how you can still access the Print button for your auction wins.
Paper copies are not necessary. The very same reference information can be saved in electronic format, which is easier to sort, store, and retrieve when needed.

And yet this thread does not contain any easy ways to print auctions we have not won, the way we used to. 😞
I used these to track market value of products I buy/sell, as well as to keep records of item photographs so that I could authenticate auctions that might come up later. . . .

notrs*jane doesn't seem to comprehend seller vs buyer, and why this issue ISN'T resolved for buyers.
count me as another longtime eBayer buyer who has been using the Print function (to PDF) for archival purposes for a very long time, and am anxiously awaiting its return
As printing the current page is not good with all the advertising on it. And I really don't won't to copy the entire web page to a file and edit out all the junk. That would be a serious disincentive to using eBay for me.

Hi, I just purchased an item on eBay and tried your daughter's solution but I could not find a print option when looking for "View Purchased Item". I would like to print the photos and Seller's description for this item. What am I missing? Am I on the wrong page of the purchased item? Any help would be most appreicated

Ok, first make sure you are looking at an "original listing", Next to the amount paid is either the number sold or the number of bids. Open that. To the far right is "more actions". Open that and one of the options is View Purchased Item.

that is exactley what i used it for, to save items that i have sold for future reference

I too would like to find the print button for eBay listings. I just purchased an item and wanted to print the photos and Seller's description. The print option on my browser doesn't format an Ebay listing correctly so the printed result misses a lot of information. I tried looking for a print button on the uppler left hand corner as suggested in an earlier "solution" but did not find it. Is there something that I am missing? Thanks for your help.

Click on the Leave Feedback link, then hover over the 'Order details" link next to the item title, and the popup window has a "View purchased item" link which brings up the old Print window.

@tecsic wrote:Two ways to "Print"/Save a listing I can think of using Firefox:
i) Go to the "Open Menu" button (top right on toolbar) and choose "Print". If you don't want to print a physical copy, download a free PDF printer driver (cutepdf or bullzip seem to be a couple- I use the function in Adobe Acrobat Pro, but this costs $$$).
ii) In the same "Open Menu" in firefox, choose "Save Page" and choose "Web Page, Complete" from the "Save as type" dropdown. This saves the ENTIRE page that can be opened any time in firefox offline and printed from there if needed.
Hope this helps.
Unfortunately, I do not have Firefox but Explorer. There is a similar function though, but it saves all the **bleep** around the listing. I do not want that. However, I do have a PDF program at work that allows to delete some pages. I'll probably use that until they finally decide to bring the "print" option back.

It's apparently not coming back any time soon. The loss of the "Print" button was brought up in the weekly chats for February 25 and March 4. On March 9, Jeff added this comment as post #139 on the March 4 chat:
"We connected with that team and they let us know that the feature was not carried over during an update they did the page design recently. They were very receptive to and appreciative of the feedback from the members here on the Community and will keep that feedback in mind during future updates to that page."
The reference to "future updates" implies that they don't see this as a problem that needs their attention currently.

You still can.

notrs*jane, I appreciate your advice about electronic archival, but that doesn't work for me. The auctions I print out are stored with the more than 6000 items in my collections. Each item gets its own printout, and that stays with the item. That's what works best for me, for many reasons. But the truth is that it doesn't matter whether someone deems electronic archival to be more efficient or somehow better. None of us need to provide our reasoning for needing the print button. We all have our own way of doing things, and simply expressing that it is needed is more than enough. All that truly matters is that eBay is obliterating functionality that many of us depend upon. And they have become beyond difficult to communicate with on the matter.
It's now been a week since they told me that they were working on restoring the function, but nothing has happened. And the button has been gone for much longer than a week. So yesterday I attempted to call once more. When connected, I received the message that my place in que would make my wait about 18 minutes. With my headset on, and working away on the computer, I waited for nearly 2 solid hours. When I had to leave, I left my number for a callback. A bit later I got an email telling me that eBay tried to call, but couldn't reach me. That didn't happen. I had gone nowhere. I now believe that the uproar has caused eBay to duck deep into its shell in an effort to simply ride out the storm without changing a thing. If I'm wrong, I hope they will step up and say so. I will be the first to admit I was wrong about their intentions if they are actually working on it. But if they are working on it, and haven't been able to remedy it in the span of several weeks, eBay is in bigger trouble than anybody knows. That kind of technical incompetence would be a game-changer.
I've been with eBay since the 1990s. I've seen a lot of bad policy, but most of it eventually got ironed out. But no excuses here. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, for everyone.
