As long as I can remember .. There was a "button" about 1/3 of the way down the listing (just above the description, on the right side) that allowed you to choose one of 3 options for printing out your item listing.

I always printed out a copy of the listing and included it in the package with the item. Today I went to do the same thing and the "Print" button was gone. Why ? This tool is of GREAT use. I used it for EVERY sale I made. I called eBay customer service and they had no answer. The only suggestion was to do use the "Print Screen" option on my computer. This isn't as good as the eBay Print Listing because it includes info that isn't useful to the buyer and it doesn't leave the proper space I used to mark the item Paid In Full and a Thank You for your purchase note.

How can I / we let eBay know how important this button was ? Any suggestions ?

I think that this thread hasprobably now run it's course.

I think that if you use the "Canadian Method" AS SOON AS YOU CAN after buying you should still be able to print the FULL listing with large images of all the listing photos - a pity we have to rely on the good old Canadians to dig us out of a hole.

What I do wish to do is to give a vote of thanks to EVERYONE that has tried their very best (with successful/unsuccessful results) to get to the bottom of this.

Yes! What is a matter with all these Internet business now away. All they care is throwing / forcing unnecessary ads into customer face! Non paid or paid (like eBay) we are still keep getting ads throwing into our faces, even when printing the wining item! This is so bad!!!

See KURTROBAERS message (no 230 on page 12)

See where it says " 1) Go to " Left click on this blue address. This will on the top olf your screen . After the "=" (if the crosses are still there ,delete them) put in the item number then press "ENTER" You should see the original listing with the PRINT option on the right along with report. Left click PRINT and your FULL print options ,as it used toi be !,will be shown. Then it's take you pick !!

So Glad I found this (the "Canadian" method)!! I keep inventory on my sold items and presold items. I for the most part enjoy Ebay's services, but WHOever chose to change this option, the PRINT option just did not make a good judgement call. Hopefully, this error of judgement will be corrected.

Here it is in short:

As noted multiple times in this thread, most recently in post 222 on June 4 (and confirmed in post 224), you can still retrieve the old US format. Use this link; substitute your listing number in place of the xxxx ( In the address window will this be found) to retrieve the old page format that has the Print link next to the "Report item" link:

As also noted several times: unfortunatly that link does NOT work for ALL kind of items! Only for certain types of items (and depending from what country you've logged in) it still works. For other types of items the US TLD DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE!!!!!!!!! So, you still need to use the "Canadian" method, which isn't yet 'crippled' for certain items.

In short: always use the Canadian TLD instead.... no need to keep 2 (otherwise almost identical) links to get the same thing in ALL situations.

I looked - and see no print button in the left corner . but i'm the seller, so i'm not looking at my "purchased " items.

I also always printed my listing- just for my own records - it is very frustrating that they change things - and not always for the better.

any other suggestions?

Right. Go back about 20 messages from this one to "KURTROBAER " (8/4/2015)

On his message you will see "1) Go to... www etc...highlighted in RED (or blue I can't remember which but it is highlighted from the rest of the message) Left click on that. It will appear at the top of your screen. Delete everything AFTER the"=" sign and insert the item number that you want to print. and press "enter". The listing will then appear . Just above the listing number (on the right between the listing photo and the description) you will see " PRINT -REPORT " Press PRINT and you should then get the printable option and be able to print Listing Summary /Sellers Description/Listing Images - one ,two or all three.

You should be able to do this on your own selling listings or your purchases.

When you have done one listing you may have to wait a short time before you can do another.

Any probs please let me know. Once you get it ,it will be well worth it !

sorry it IS in BLUE and starts "http://cgi.ebay..... as I said left click this BLUE address and it will appear in the toolbar at the top of your screen, Delete everything after the =and insert youir listing number. Then enter.

I don't see the "View Purchased Item" link at all. How exactly do you get to that page? And when I click on an item that I have purchased, there is no way to print the item. It just opens up to the completed auction page or you can click on the original listing page, but then you are right back where you started with NO PRINT BUTTON.

It looks like ebay has removed the PRINT link from the Canadian website too. I tried the recommendation on page 12 and it does not work now (Jan. 2016).

It's too bad that ebay thinks they know what is best for us. As a buyer I have referred back to the printed listings to view the full size photos to see if the item was the same as represented in the listing.

I "printed" the listings to an MS image (similar to a PDF) and didn't waste the paper to actually print the listings unless it was for updating my records.

EBAY PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR USERS AND BRING BACK THE PRINT LINK SO THAT WE CAN GET THE FULL LISTING PRINTED, INCLUDING FULL SIZE PHOTOS. Thank you.
