Thanks!! Most everything is getting back to normal. The grocery stores have been working non-stop to re-stock the food. Water is still a premium and the post office has been doing an incredible job. We have double carriers delivering mail now and all of the post offices are open.
I only have a few packages that seem to be stuck in San Antonio but everything else has been delivered! Yeah!!!
My sister-in-law who lives where I do was always joking about Texas weather.... wait a couple of hours and it changes. Our weather right now is about 65 degrees and it's raining.... NO problems here:) I'll take anything over 4 degrees without ice and snow. I moved here about 7 years ago from San Diego. It snowed ONCE.... the year I moved here we got dusted with snow. I went to the DMV to get my Texas license..... NO line:)
So glad I had a gazillion candles and a down sleeping bag!

I have not been shipping a whole lot but, yes, I am seeing delays with USPS.
UPS, not so much at this point. I ship out of Texas

I ship out of Texas too. I'm not sure how many people understand the severity and impact of this type of weather in areas not equipped to handle the low temperatures, snow and ice.
All of our post offices were closed from Tuesday Feb 16 through Thursday Feb 18th because of snow, ice and rolling power blackouts. Many of our roads were closed and we had blackouts that lasted from 8 to 10 hours OFF with 15 minutes to 2 hours ON. We had no drinking water and the shelves at the grocery stores were empty on Friday and Saturday.
Of the 7 packages that I mailed on Friday Feb 19th 3 have been delivered. The 3 were Priority Mail..... the other 5 are 1st class and still showing as "In Transit."
Of the 8 packages I mailed on Saturday Feb 20th. 5 have been delivered and the rest are "In Transit"

Hope y'all are doing well, recovering and staying safe! Sounds like a terrible situation!
