Recently I read on another topic that the good old USPS was having an unfortunate "slowdown." I immediately thought "Compared to who and/or what?" Just curious. This isn't an election year. The PO doesn't have to prioritize those magical, mystery, missing, ballot boxes. Weather hasn't been that bad, has it? Heck, my local rural carriers are now driving a fleet of brand new USPS vans. They used to have to use their own vehicles. I had an ordered package arrive at a PO in Florida a week and a half ago, and according to USPS tracking it still sitting there, it haven't left! Heck, I once had a package sit up at the Harrisburg Pa. PO for a week, then when it finally started to move, it bounced back and forth between there, Lewisburg Pa, and Trenton New Jersey for another week. No real complaint, just an observation! Anybody else experiencing a "slow down?"

Since Ground Advantage took effect on July 9th, I have seen consistent longer delivery times. The normal was 2-4 days on average, worst case 5 days prior to GA. Although I am not a large seller, I do about 20-25 shipments per month, all 7x4 padded mailers 3-7 oz and eBay generated labels.
I am seeing 5 days and up now, a current shipment is at 10 days and shows "in transit arriving late". I am seeing 5-8 days average.
What I have noticed is a different routing pattern to smaller sort centers after leaving my state (NH) to the adjoining state (Massachusetts), sometimes taking 3-4 days before it actually gets on a plane. I Have enough history to know something is off. I am seeing more "item in transit" for days than I have even seen.
Maybe they have shut down or are understaffed at some sort centers? Consolidation with Retail Ground, First-Class-Package, and Parcel Select Ground into a single service has not been seamless.
"Advantage" should be dropped and just call it what it seems like USPS Ground.
This is not the "busy" season and I wonder what the Holidays will look like?
what are other sellers observations?

Interesting, when GA first rolled out, I had 2 items shipped the first week of the change that took like 2-3wks to arrive. Since then, everything is moving very well. I just had an item (shipped from Chicago) get delivered in California within 48hrs via GA.
Very little Priority shipping lately, almost exclusively GA, under 1 pound... my current pace is probably 250 (+/- 25) packages per month.
Recent shipment was taking a little longer (2 days or so) than expected, I went in to look expecting signs of delay, nope. It arrived on time but was forwarded so that was the 2 extra days.
However, apparently an item being delivered within 2 business days of purchase is not fast enough for some people.... 🤣
No matter WHAT the USPS does, there will be people who complain. I have had only good experiences (generally) as a shipper & receiver with USPS. Then again, I must add the disclaimer that I have a PO Box so receiving packages at a PO Box is not quite the same as delivered on carriers route. Also getting to know staff at multiple local post offices is also very helpful.

Have not heard a buyer complaint on shipping since December 2020. My USPS Ground Advantageous shipments ship same day or next day, so perhaps they are getting a head start. Have not studied actual delivery days lately though randomly checking every once in awhile has not raised any eyebrows.

All I can say is my ground advantage shipments have been 1 day faster than UPS Ground on average.
And my priority shipments have been 1 early day or same day as UPS 3 Day Select.
So right now I'm pretty happy with the service.

What you are describing is a complete outlier to what typically happens.
Can you share a screen shot?

Wondering if the label is distorted in some way?
When and IF it arrives, check the label.
