Please use either UPS or Fedex until USPS sorting facilities can get back on track

As a resident of the state of Georgia, I am aware of the unresolved delays going on at the Palmetto Georgia facility.I had to do something.Although I am currently a buyer and not a seller, I reached out to Ebay and chatted with an agent to see if they could do something to help sellers out  in the meantime. Not sure if Ebay had ever been made aware of the ongoing problems that are currently beyond the seller's control.  Agent mentioned " I'm also making a report on this & I will escalate this to our specialize team as well so that it can be identified on top priority note." I keep seeing the horror stories on the local news and that some sellers are at risk of being suspended or are going to have to deal with negative feedback and having to eventually issue refunds if buyers are unwilling to wait. It doesn't look like the delays in Georgia are going to end anytime soon. I am aware that it probably will cost more to use either UPS or Fedex, but the odds of packages actually arriving in a reasonable amount of time will make things better for both buyer and seller. If any sellers decide to put USPS delivery on hiatus might I suggest possibly mentioning in your listing the reason that USPS is not currently being offered?  From a buyer's point of view, I would be grateful to see something like this because it demonstrates that sellers are going out of their way to make sure that deliveries are received as quickly as possible. Good luck to all of the sellers from a buyer who can appreciate what a frustrating time this truly must be.

I'm sure your intentions were good, but if you chatted via contact at the bottom of this page, that's akin to **bleep**ing into the wind.  CS reps from this site are notorious for giving bad information and telling you the **bleep** they think will placate you.   Hopefully,  you contacted through ebay for business on social media.

So sorry to hear that is what apparently happened. If I did apparently waste my time, then shame on me. But if our news continues to try and get some type of resolution, at least I do have something in writing from ebay now. One of our senators has since become involved today trying to get some answers. Having seen a seller's dilemma on the newscast, maybe the chat transcript might eventually be able to help. Either way, thank you for taking the time to respond back.

Im experiencing this in Texas as well. Items would be shipped and doesn't get moved to the out bound hub to be sorted. At least that is what the tracking history reflects. The history shows item is in usps possession and nothing  for up to a week before it reaches the out bound hub which typically happens same day or next day. So far everything has been delivered without issue but we just recieved our 1st item request today in almost 6 months bc it was supposed to arrive yesterday. No rhyme or reason why  or when this happens its completely random but more often than I like recently.

I'm inthe atlanta merto area , i just had to tput my business on hold ( time off ) as the USPS already has 4 of my packages that have not been scanned , three from monday , plus dozens that have been scanned that are just loomimg ... NIGHTMARE , and not sure who at ebay can even help or if they want to ... any suggestions anyone ?

right now here in atlanta they are not evening scanning all the packages , what to do when its all over the news , how do we not get suspened ... i have a perfect history and now the USPS does this

Truly wish I could make everything right for you. I don't understand why USPS won't put something on their website. Ebay should put out some type of announcement as well. Even though it would be time consuming, I would reach out to your buyers and tell them exactly what is going on. I am not sure if ebay allows links in messages or not. If they do, have a link or two taking them to some of the articles about what is happening in our state. If links are not allowed, ask them to look up USPS Georgia issues. I can't speak for every buyer, but I am sure many will understand. Good luck to you.

Well Priority  mail    is  moving with no issues !  It is the Garbage  USPS Ground Advantage  that is problem !   I have asked sellers I buying from if they will use Priority mail  ,FedEx or UPS  .

I recommend Priority mail  shipping   or UPS  or  FedEx .    I would pay for those over   Ground Advantage .

I have an item I purchased back on March 2nd, priority mail, stuck in Fairborn Georgia in transit for 5 days now. So you are very fortunate to have received your Priority mail orders. Not a bad idea though to ask seller to send things out another way.

I surprised to hear there are delay  issues with Priority Mail  in  Georgia   ,I'm wondering  if they are getting packed into the  containers  with ground advantage ?  I found out  that the ground advantage  containers  still sit in the sorting hub's for 2 to 3 days  until the truck shows up  so I would not  be surprised about the 5 days.    Dejoys  and the board of governor's  need to be removed .

I created a different post about being able to speak with someone at my local post office. Couple of sellers pretty much replied with attitudes & folks seem to think it is isolated to Georgia just because they have not encountered any issues.  Apparently the way my headline or message  is worded, they seem to think I am in no position to tell people to use UPS or FEDEX just because according to them, I am the only one with issues. Buyers don't want to pay extra to ship PM, UPS or Fedex.

I do  pay extra for those services !    because  I don't want thing  to do with USPS  Ground Advantage .

No it isn't isolated issue  ,from  the problems I have had  and having the USPS  rep's confirming what I suspect  about  ground advantage containers siting in the sorting centers for 3 days or longer  for the truck to show up.
