I've recently gone through the return process and everything appears to have gone smoothly except for where the returned $$ has gone.
I initially paid directly through eBay, with my credit card; however, the seller has returned the money through eBay to my paypal account. There is a record of this in eBay, but nothing in my paypal account.
How long does it usually take for eBay to send a return to your paypal account when the initial payment was not at all associated with paypal?
Thanks kindly

If the payment was not paid from your PayPal account --
then that refund would not show as a reversal of that non-existent payment.
Instead, the refund may have been paid* to your eBay email address --
and you need to add and confirm that email address to your PayPal account.
*unlikely, because that would be converting a credit card payment to cash.
More likely, your credit card payment paid to eBay's PayPal account --
was returned through that PayPal account to your credit card.

A credit card payment is always returned to the card. Sometimes the CC company is slow to post it to your account. It may take several days.
