I have six items available in one listing and they want all of them. That's great - but postage will be a lot more because they have some weight to them. I can use a medium flat rate box which will keep the price lower but how do I communicate this change to the prospective buyer? Do I accept their best offer....then follow with an email to explain shipping will be $18 instead of $8? What if they say no? Am I committed to the original postage?
Maybe I have this wrong and once I accept the offer, postage will be computed at 6 items x the original $8 postage? (A horrible deal).
Thanks from "New To This"

Best offer is for the item price only. You cannot increase the shipping cost EVER, unless the buyer has requested a shipping upgrade. It LOOKS like if you accept the offer, the buyer will be charged shipping per item. I put the 2 Baldwin knobs in my cart and shipping for 1 was $23 but for 2 its $38. I assume the actual listing in question is set up the same way.

Thank you, Miss Jenn.
It all worked out. There were six of the items I was referring to (same brand you mentioned/different, lighter weight pieces). I offered to ship in a USPS flat rate box. My buyer saved a substantial amount of money on shipping and it worked out well for both of us.
